Overview

The Special Selection is the purest commercial expression of Conn Creek’s founding
philosophy: Cabernet as cartography. Fruit is sourced from seven of Napa’s most
distinguished AVAs – Mt. Veeder, Oakville, St. Helena, Howell Mountain, Rutherford,
Atlas Peak, and Spring Mountain – each contributing a distinct voice to the final blend.
This multi-appellation approach mirrors the comparative method that made the AVA
Room famous, translated into a single bottling. The wine is aged in 70% new French oak
at a production of just twenty barrels, a scale that allows winemaker Elizabeth
DeLouise-Gant to evaluate and blend each lot individually.
